Kids Yoga Instructor
Mindfulness and meditation. I read articles of all the benefits and all of the good things yoga does for people who were experiencing adversity in life. I actually became fascinated with it when I learned about Goldie Hawn and her foundation. It was very interesting and intriguing to see how she and the doctor talked about how yoga would benefit children with trauma and how it would benefit them in society to build the resilience and build their self esteem.
I studied continuously reading various articles, and then I decided to finally start practicing a mindfulness and meditation with a few practices periodically. After I had my first baby, I decided I needed to stay active and take care of myself and part of self-care was doing yoga in the mornings while she napped and helped my mind, body, and soul. I started introducing my children to kids yoga at a young age. We would watch yoga videos and do yoga nightly before bed or in the mornings.Â
I finally decided I needed to benefit and explore yoga more, so I took a dive into yoga teacher training. I worked as a preschool teacher, and I got certified for teaching children through the crim teaching pre-K through sixth grade. After doing my training that summer, I decided to go ahead in the fall and get registered for my 200 hour training and completed my 200 hour CYT that December.Â
I teach the littles and love playing games and doing activities with the littles while teaching them about themselves and help then gain useful social emotional skills through breathwork and mindfulness.
